One show off the list...

Warning: Spoilers for American Idol behind the cut!
spoilers ahoyCollapse )

And that's good, because I made a spreadsheet of how many episodes I have to watch of each show I'm watching or trying to catch up on, and - well, let's say that if I watched an average of one episode more than I record each day, I wouldn't catch up until next March 27. Ha. We'll see how that goes. And that's mostly summer shows, so House, say, isn't even on the list, and I'm only a few episodes into that.

This this with the Russian adoptions is insane. I mean, I think Russia is pretty much being reasonable here. This is just insane:
"Artyom, who was named Justin by his adoptive American mother, arrived in Moscow last week after flying by himself from Washington. He presented the authorities with a note from his adoptive mother in which she said she could no longer handle him."
She put a child on a plane to a foreign country without, I don't know, telling anyone? Having some sort of plan? What? Did he make it through customs by himself? The mind boggles. Oh, another article says she found someone on the Internet to pick him up. STILL. Crazy.

Once again, I wish I did not have to go to my writing group tonight. I say this basically every time, to the point where I start to wonder if I should drop out of the group. But I think it's good for me. Sigh.

Glee. And stuff.

(Vague Glee spoilers below.)

I have to admit that I was a little underwhelmed by Glee last night. I mean, it was an enjoyable hour of TV, and had some great moments, but - well, any episode in which Matthew Morrison doesn't really sing leaves me feeling cheated, I suppose. And Quinn and Puck were barely there. Schue's actions with Emma and Idina Menzel didn't upset me as Really, I think after recent events on Gossip Girl and Bones, I don't have it in me to bring myself to actually care much about the couples on Glee.

Although! One moment that was absolutely epic: the boys dressed like the Beatles to sing "Hello Goodbye." Someone should make an icon of that. Thank you.

We had a big discussion of cilantro at lunch yesterday, and then there was an article on cilantro in the Times, so this morning I was wanting it so much that I just ate chips and salsa and guac for breakfast. And? Delicious!

I am wearing a plain gray dress but with bright purple tights and a red hoodie, because I am not feeling this Wednesday thing so far, and hopefully the bright colors will help.

"Lord Voldemort" and "Fire Nancy Pelosi" started following me on Twitter within minutes of each other last night. Um?

This was all ridiculously boring. Anyone have a more exciting Wednesday going?

Oh, GMA...

sn isaac god help me some days
I've started putting Good Morning, America on in the mornings since GSteph moved over there, because I love him. But today, he's not there, and they have a bunch of annoying stories on:
1. Ben Roethligwhatever: Their take seems to be, "Oh, boys will be boys! And she was drinking!" Um. No.
2. International adoption: Seriously, it sounded like the beginning of Anne of Green Gables. They're going to put strychnine in the well! Sigh.
Coming up: The best laundry detergent! Also, they just had a commercial for some entertainment show and I swear the lead story was "Oprah and John Tesh: The secret romance. What really happened?" Please tell me I misheard that.

Oh, and the Avatar DVD is coming out on Earth Day? Really? Really?

In better news, Glee! Tonight! Whee!

Oh, now GMA is recommending a showerhead made my my uncle's company! That's okay then. ;)

Sorry, LiveJournal. I know I've been mostly ignoring you recently. As a result, I've been missing actual major things going on it people's lives. So. No more. I'm going to try to start posting daily in hopes that it makes me remember to actually read my flist.

Not that I have anything really interesting to say. Let's see. A list!

* I met kiss_me_cassie yesterday. She's awesome. In case you were wondering.

* Honey Vanilla Creme CoffeeMate is gross, which in retrospect seems self-evident, but apparently I felt the need to try.

* I need new sandals. Work-appropriate, comfortable, preferably inexpensive. Ideas?

* I finally picked a new layout. Partially based on what looked good with my orange gun icon.

* If you don't know what the orange gun is about, you should read my new blog here and then join my new comm goodguysfans.

Okay. I suppose I should go to work.
